Check-In Procedures
Items may be returned to the library by placing them on the left front corner of the library desk. These returns will be collected daily and checked in.

NOTE
Please make sure front barcodes and all stickers stay completely attached to books at all times. If books are returned with missing or partly detached barcode stickers, a fine will be due upon return.

Renewals
Students may renew items by bringing them to the checkout desk. Student must be present to renew items. There is a maximum of two renewals for an item.

Overdues
Students with overdue items may not check out additional items until all items are returned. Overdue lists are printed and distributed to classroom teachers.

Lost and Damaged Books
If a book or other item is lost or damaged, the librarian will determine the repair or replacement cost and send home a note with the student. Payments may be made by cash or check and should be made out to Mulberry Public Schools. If a lost item is later found by the student, the parent or guardian of the student must request a refund in writing.

Holds and Reserves
The library will hold books for one day for a student who either owes a fine or has overdue items. If the student does not return to resolve the issue, the books will be reshelved.

Items checked out to another patron can be reserved. Patron who reserves them will be notified and the item will be held for one day.
