Teacher Appreciation Week – A Message from Dr. Myers

This is our week to honor the incredible team of teachers that we are so blessed to have in Mulberry/Pleasant View Bi-County School District.

I truly appreciate the meaningful work that our teachers do every day, not just during this week where the accomplishments of teachers are celebrated in classrooms all across our district, state and nation.   Moreover, with the COVID-19 Crisis, I am doubly impressed with the professionalism shown during this unprecedented period in our nation.

I am reminded every single day that our teachers are dedicated to the success of each and every child--every time!  You provide hope to the most needy young citizens in our community.  You provide stability in attitude and attention to every detail of a child’s life and each of you understand the profound influence you have on the lives of kids.  MPV School District’s teachers are meaningful partners in the raising of our community’s children.

On behalf of the school board and this great community, it is my privilege to extend a heartfelt message of gratitude for the work that our teachers do.  I wish that we were physically present in order for me to try and thank each of you personally.  It is true that teaching is a calling, not a profession, and I am so honored that our teachers have chosen MPV School District as a place to make a difference in the lives of others.

I encourage our community and school district to join me in appreciating our teachers this week and in the weeks and years to come.

Thank you,

Lonnie Myers, Ed.D.
