MPV Superintendent Denn, Mrs. Cheely and EAST students Julee Cheely, Brynlee Williams, Austin O'Bar, Aiden Doss, and Jaxsyn Balmeceda traveled to the TJ House Reservoir for community service cleaning the location of the proposed future fishing pier and facility that Mayor Baxter and MHS is collaborating on through the Fun Park Grant. Mrs. Cheely provided letters of support from EAST and FBLA, and Mrs. Kendrick provided a letter of support from the Special Education Department. Julee and Brynlee's EAST project is collaborating with the City of Mulberry for the fishing facility and collaborating with Superintendent Denn through an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Grant to establish a fishing team at MPV. Jaxsyn, Austin, and Rikki are also collaborating with the City of Mulberry and Mayor Baxter in applying for grants and planning for a walking trail around the TJ House Reservoir. Aiden Doss used the new EAST drone purchased thanks to the MPV Education Foundation $10,000 grant to film the progress, with Mrs. Cheely serving as the FAA Certified Pilot in Command. Big things are coming to the City of Mulberry and MPV Schools, thanks to collaborations with EAST, Mayor Baxter, Assistant to the Mayor Steve Hurley, and Superintendent Troy Denn. It's a great day to be in Mulberry, and a great day to be a Yellow Jacket!
